Kayle Rutar

My name is Kayle Rutar, and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist at Champion Rehab. I joined the team in October after relocating back to Minnesota from Arizona. I earned my undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State University and later lived in Boston, Massachusetts with my husband before moving to Utah, where I completed my graduate studies at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.

My professional experience includes working in a specialty school supporting children with Autism, inpatient rehabilitation with adult populations, and caring for critically ill patients in a long-term acute care hospital. These diverse settings have shaped my passion for helping individuals regain essential communication and swallowing abilities.

I am especially passionate about ventilator and tracheostomy care. Helping individuals regain their voice through the use of a Passy Muir Valve and supporting them as they take their first sips of water again is incredibly rewarding. Communication is something we often take for granted until it is lost due to injury or illness, and I feel honored to walk alongside patients during these vulnerable moments—helping them rebuild confidence, reconnect with others, and find their voice again.
